Chapter 23 SHARED DESIRES

Xina felt as though time had slipped away from her. The exhaustion that had settled deep within her bones made it difficult to track the hours. Everything that had transpired—the intense drama with her family, and the overwhelming reality of being marked by the alpha—was more than enough to leave her utterly drained. As soon as she closed her eyes in the backseat of the car, with the intention of staying awake until they reached their destination, fatigue overtook her, and she surrendered to sleep, caring little about what might come next. However, when she eventually opened her eyes, she was greeted by a sight that was as pleasant as it was unexpected. Xina was a simple girl, and waking up to find Gary's face so close to hers was an experience she never anticipated. Having been unconscious for hours, this was a delightful surprise. Oh, bless my eyes to be greeted by such a view... Xina blinked, her mind still foggy from sleep as she tried to make sense of the situation. She was to
