"You scared me," Xina grumbled, feeling the intensity of Gary's gaze upon her. His presence was impossible to ignore, always looming, always inescapable. Even half-asleep, she could sense him. The first thing she felt upon opening her eyes was that strong, heavy presence—the king himself.
