At that moment, Caro approached the boy, holding a worksheet as if she wanted to ask him something. Wendy and her family moved into the living room, drawing the boy and Caro's attention.
Caro was the first to speak, “I didn't expect you to come back so quickly. I thought you'd stay there a bit longer.”
Wendy, unfazed by Caro’s provocations, replied, “I just went for a meal, not an overnight stay. Of course, I came back.”
Caro, with a smug smile, asked, “I heard you got into that school. Which class are you in?”
Feeling confident, Caro believed that even if Wendy got into the school, it was due to her older brother's connections. She was certain Wendy wouldn’t be in a good class, thus thinking she had still outperformed her.
Wendy smiled, sat down, and began eating some snacks
