"Why are you staring at me? I'm not French onion soup," Evan said as he sat back across from me. His long, elegant finger tapped the table, signaling me to hurry up and eat.
I didn't think the French onion soup tasted bad a moment ago. But now, I pouted while feeling wronged and said, "This tastes terrible."
"What do you want to eat?" Evan's tone was indulgent.

"What did you say?" He was holding the soup container I hadn't finished. He tossed it into the trash while glancing sideways at me, looking a bit puzzled.
