"Mr. Stafford, there's a phone call for you." I quickly stepped forward with a businesslike demeanor and promptly pushed aside the girl in the pink princess dress.
In fact, there was no phone call. I had set a fake alarm on my phone, and as I handed it to Evan, I was betting that he wouldn't expose my little trick.
