Chapter 11
Cameron stopped himself from leaving. As he turned to head to the hall for the wedding, the butler sighed in relief.
Cameron stood at the beginning of the aisle as the first strains of the wedding march started playing. He watched as Jocelyn slowly approached him in her wedding gown. Even the veil she had on couldn't conceal the smile on her face.
Suddenly, he wondered what Evelyn would look like in a wedding gown. She'd always been a cheeky one, so she probably would opt out of it and go for a long, red dress. She also wouldn't slowly walk to him as Jocelyn was doing. She would happily skip to his side.
The smile on her face wouldn't be a shy one like Jocelyn's was—it would be bright and vivacious. Then, she would affectionately link her arm with his.
Perhaps he'd gotten too caught up in his fantasies as when the pastor asked whether he was willing to take Jocelyn as his wife, he blurted out Evelyn's name. He was holding a microphone, so his voice reverberated around the hall.
