Chills, followed by warmth, surged through her body. This cycle of cold and heat kept her on edge. She couldn't tell where she was. Suddenly, her instincts, honed over years of vigilance, snapped her eyes open—

"You…" Eleanor pushed herself up from the bed, supporting her half-awake body, her gaze confused. "It was you who brought me back?"
She could hardly remember what happened after being thrown into the dungeon and overwhelmed by icy waters. She vaguely remembered someone saving her, but the memory was hazy.
