I had no idea how my words affected Ethan. I could only feel the sudden heaviness in his mood.
The room's darkness grew oppressive, making me feel increasingly uncomfortable.
Taking a deep breath, I turned to find the doorknob. I wanted to go out.
But just as my hand touched the handle, Ethan pressed himself against me from behind. His broad, warm chest felt oddly comforting, but I didn't want him.
