The light drizzle suddenly turned into a torrential downpour. I couldn't tell if it was my tears or the rain streaming down my cheeks, but I could taste the saltiness in the air.
Ethan sped away, leaving me there on the cold, wet ground. It felt as though the darkness and the cold were seeping into my very soul, trapping me in an inescapable prison.
