I pursed my lips together, pulling the jacket he had draped over me tighter around myself. When I looked up, I noticed Leah standing nearby, her face twisted in a sour expression as she stared at me.
Her resentful gaze showed just how much she despised me, and she seemed particularly enraged that Ethan and I were leaving together.
I figured that a woman consumed by jealousy would stop at nothing to go after her perceived target. I couldn't help but find it amusing as her jealous and hateful gaze burned into my back.
I tried to calm myself down and quicken my pace, ignoring the whispers and murmurs behind me. All I wanted was to get out of there.
