"I understand," Ethan said as he headed upstairs.
The study door was closed. Ethan knocked, and when he heard a faint "Come in" from inside, he turned the handle and entered.
As the door opened, he saw the frail figure of Ian reclining on a chair by the balcony, reading a thread-bound book. Hearing the footsteps, Ian didn't turn, assuming it was Andy. "What is it?" he asked without looking up.
Ethan didn't answer immediately. He walked over to stand behind Ian before finally speaking. "Grandpa, where is Leah?"
Ian, startled, turned his head in surprise. Seeing Ethan, his expression turned cold. He averted his gaze and leaned back into the chair, his voice indifferent. "Did you come back just to argue with me again?"
"I just want to know where Leah is."
"Where she is doesn't concern you," Ian replied, his tone still icy.
Ethan's anger flared. "So you're willing to sacrifice the hundred-year reputation of the Grayson family for a murderer?"
