Liam crouched down beside Grandma and whispered a few words to her. Then, he stood up and took over the wheelchair from me. "It's mostly handled."
As we walked, he turned to me and smiled as our eyes met. "Maybe around New Year's Eve… I'll tell you about it later."
I raised an eyebrow and walked alongside him. "As your business partner, I don't think keeping secrets is a good habit."
He bent over to make sure Grandma's seatbelt was secure before saying, "Mrs. Wiley Senior, shall I take you for a sprint?"
Then, he stood up straight and threw me a playful glance. "You gonna stop me?"
Then, he pushed Grandma's wheelchair and took off at full speed. I stood stunned for a moment by his childish behavior, but all I could do was laugh.
