Chapter 9: Sealed Our Love With Our First Kiss

“What’s going on? Haha, why don’t you ask the whore in your arms! She seduced my husband, and now he’s filing for a divorce. I’m going to rip off her slutty face, right now. See what else has to use to seduce with!” That woman was blazing with rage. She ignored Xiao Yihan as she lunged straight toward Qi Xiaorou and tore at her clothes and yanked her hair. Qi Xiaorou’s top ripped open, exposing the fair skin of her breasts. Qi Xiaorou hid behind Xiao Yihan’s arms and screamed in terror, “I don’t know you! And I absolutely did not seduce your husband! You’ve mistaken me for somebody else!” “Mistaken? Humph, I’d recognize your ashes! Did you forget you sent me that indecent picture of you and my husband in bed? You looked like such a skank in it. What are you doing dressed so prim and proper now? I’m going to show everyone your true colors …” That woman acted like a crazy, desperate spinster. She was unrestrained. It really was like she wanted to strip Qi Xiaorou of all her clothes and expose her for who she really was. Qi Xiaorou was a total mess. From a corner, Jian Jianan watched her crumble apart with a smirk on her face, while Xiao Yihan shielded her. At that moment, Xiao Yihan put Jian Jianan aside. He pushed the woman attacking Qi Xiaorou away with a violent force. The woman fell to the ground, and started throwing tantrums, “This douchebag is hitting me! Everybody, look! See how this seductress has her little claws in him already! In no time at all, someone is already pummeling me!” Earlier, everyone had seen Xiao Yihan enter the restaurant with his arms wrapped around Jian Jianan’s shoulders. Now, Xiao Yihan was protecting Qi Xiaorou, with Jian Jianan watching with dispassion in her eyes. They knew something was not quite right. All sorts of chatter began to rise. Xiao Yihan was seething with rage. He could not just leave Qi Xiaorou like this, but even more so, he could not afford to anger Jian Jianan. “Nannan, call the police quick!” Jian Jianan single-handedly plotted this act, why would she call the police! “Xiaorou, what’s this all about?” Qi Xiaorou was sobbing uncontrollably in Xiao Yihan’s arms. She knew that she could never let Jian Jianan know about the affair between her and Xiao Yihan, but she was terrified. She did not want to leave Xiao Yihan’s embrace. In that instant, Xiao Yihan brutally pushed Qi Xiaorou away. Qi Xiaorou felt her heart sink as his touch left hers. However, she could not jump into Xiao Yihan’s arms right in front of Jian Jianan. Her tears streamed down even harder when she thought about it, “Sis, I don’t even know who this woman is. I didn’t destroy anyone’s family. You have to help me!” Xiao Yihan walked towards Jian Jianan and, without thinking, put his hands around her, but she shunned him away. Xiao Yihan stared at his hands awkwardly, a shadow passing his eyes. Jian Jianan did not look at Xiao Yihan in the eye. She just walked slowly towards the woman and said, “Everyone has to pay the price for their actions. If my sister did something wrong, I’ll make her apologize to you…” Qi Xiaorou wanted to open her mouth and speak but Jian Jianan shot her down with a cold gaze. “However, if my sister did not do what you’re accusing her of, you’ll be held responsible for the legal repercussions!” “Legal repercussions? Humph, are you threatening me? You’re all bullying me because you have the numbers. Very well, you lot win this time. But I’ll tell you this, I used chicken blood today. If she continues to come after my husband, next time it’ll be acid!” The woman left the restaurant in a fury. Xiao Yihan wanted to chase after her but Qi Xiaorou held him back by his arm. She choked, “Brother Xiao, I want to go home!” Xiao Yihan knew that Jian Jianan was looking at them, so he pried Qi Xiaorou’s arm away and turned towards Jian Jianan, “Nannan…” “Yihan, Xiaorou can’t eat in this state. Can you take her home first?” Xiao Yihan’s heart sank. He asked, “What about you? I can send you both home. I’ll treat you to a delicious meal tomorrow!” “You should send Xiaorou back first. I need to get Xiaobei from my grandma’s. Seeing Xiaorou like this will just make them worried!” Xiao Yihan frowned seeing Xiaorou’s look of hope and Jian Jianan’s indifference. He clenched his fists, and said, “We’ll call a taxi for Xiaorou and I’ll send you to your grandma’s in a bit.” Xiaorou felt a dull pain in her chest. She bit down on her lips in anger and sorrow! Jian Jianan, however, cocked an eyebrow. She had not expected Xiao Yihan to leave Qi Xiaorou in this state, let alone make her take a taxi home just so he could accompany her to pick up Xiaobei. ‘Huh… is he still trying to act in front of her?’ she thought. “What sort of taxi would be willing to fetch Xiaorou like that? I think you should hurry and send her home. She’s been through a lot today!” In the end, Xiao Yihan sent Xiaorou home. There were a few drops of chicken blood on Jian Jianan. As she was about to go clean up in the washroom, she suddenly noticed a familiar face. ‘Gu Mocheng?!’ ‘Isn’t he in the military? Why is he here?’ she thought. Without his uniform, he was wearing a simple black t-shirt and smooth-cut casual trousers. Maybe it was all his military training, but the shape of his body was impeccable. A simple combination of clothes looked rather fashionable on him. The most popular international supermodel would be ashamed if he saw Gu Mocheng’s body. It was like he was glowing. His presence occupied the attention of all the female diners. They stared at him without restraint, like they were going to devour him like food served on a plate. Suddenly, Gu Mocheng turned towards her direction, and their eyes met. Jian Jianan could feel the distance and iciness in his eyes, perhaps even a hint of disgust! Jian Jianan picked up her bag and strode towards Gu Mocheng. When Shen Linfeng saw the beautiful lady approaching them, he nudged Gu Mocheng with his elbow, “Hey, one of the pretty ladies from that commotion is walking over. I think she’s looking at you… Look at you, so popular with the opposite sex. You can’t switch over and turn gay! Wait, why does this woman look so familiar. I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere…’ When Gu Mocheng saw the way Jian Jianan limped over, his handsome features turned even colder. ‘This silly woman, why is she still running around when her leg is hurt? Doesn’t she want to keep her right leg?’ he thought. Jian Jianan stood in front of Gu Mocheng. His gaze shifted from her. She closed in on him and giggled as she said, “Hey, Xiao Chengcheng, I didn’t expect fate had this in store for us. We’d only just met at the military camp just today, and here we meet again tonight!” “Pffst…” Totally out of character, Shen Linfeng spat out the red wine he had been drinking upon hearing ‘Xiao Chengcheng’. However, Shen Linfeng’s attention snapped towards the woman standing before him when he heard her mention 'military camp’. He finally came to the realization, with shock on his face, “You’re Jian Jianan?” “Hello, I’m Jian Jianan, fiancée to Gu Mocheng!” Jian Jianan purposely added the title to her introduction. Gu Mocheng frowned, “You’re disturbing our meal!” Seeing Gu Mocheng’s indifferent expression, Jian Jianan scoffed lightly, as if she had been unjustly wronged, “We’d already sealed our love with a kiss - your attitude is really hurting me. Also, you know full well that I sprained my leg because of you. You need to take some responsibility and send me home!” ‘Sealed our love with a kiss!!!’ Shen Linfeng stared at Gu Mocheng with great shock. He regretted that he was not there to witness that. Gu Mocheng was a total germaphobe. Even his childhood friends that grew up with him could not even go near him, let alone other people. In their early years, his germaphobia was much more extreme. It only improved since he entered the military, but it was still quite serious. He never expected him to kiss someone! Even more so, a woman! A woman who attempted suicide just to break off their engagement! Gu Mocheng did not expect Jian Jianan to be so stubborn. Had she not made a scene in the military camp, he would not have to deal with this aftermath with his family right now. How dare she blame this on him!
