Mayra's feet were bound up with gauze. As she got up from the window seat, she stuffed the half-eaten biscuit into Anderson's hand. "You're you, and Gordon is Gordon."
An unknown emotion flickered in Anderson's eyes. He thought of one thing in his mind but said another, "Is this biscuit bad?"
Wearing oversized slippers, Mayra walked without difficulty, and her feet weren't hurting. "It's too sweet. I don't like it. Andy, let's go downstairs for food. I'm hungry."
Mayra descended the stairs while Anderson followed behind. By the time they reached the ground floor, the biscuit in his hand had disappeared.
Anderson had already finished that half-piece of biscuit. Mayra was always like this. Though she didn't like the food, she couldn't bear to throw it away since she knew what it felt like to be hungry. So, she always gave Anderson whatever she couldn't finish eating.
