••• Charlotte's POV ••• I woke up and looked around to see that I was still in the same hospital ward as the day before and no one was around. Remembering what had happened, my tears started pouring from my eyes again. Lexi... I had lost her and for now, I was all alone. But I didn't regret my decision to sever my matebond with Theo. He was even worse than Hayden. And I knew Lexi would come back. She had promised me. I only felt guilty to Lexi for not being able to protect myself, and in turn, made her disappear. Suddenly I heard the door being opened and an anxious voice called out my name, “Lottie!” I looked up to see... Hayden? What was he doing here? He rushed forward and sat on the bed, helping me into a sitting position before touching my forehead and checking my wound. “Are you alright? Are you feeling any pain anywhere?” he asked hurriedly with worry. Hearing the concern in his voice, I broke down even further. “Yesterday... Theo... He wanted to kiss me... When I didn't want to
