"Were you attacked?" Winona asked.
"Yes." Hudson nodded. "I was ready to leave when something rushed at me. Then, for whatever reason, it exploded on its own and splattered me with its blood."
He then noticed the bloodstains on her face and asked, "That's not your blood, is it?"
He raised his hand and gently wiped the blood from her cheek.
"No, it's not." Winona planned to ask further about the situation because the smashed brain at his feet didn't look like it could've just exploded on its own.
But the current circumstances left her no time to dwell on it.
"If there's an infected here, every civilian in this theater is at risk," she stated solemnly.
Or perhaps there might not be any civilians remaining.
Hudson didn't voice that thought out loud. He sensed that the theater was filled with a new energy just moments ago.
