I called Yvette, but she didn't pick up. The same happened when I called Oliver.
During my lunch break, I printed three sets of divorce papers before hurrying over to Yvette's office. I ran into Oliver at the entrance.
Shocked, he cautiously asked, "Mr. Yates, why are you here?"
I stared at him with a frown. "Didn't you get my call? Where's Yvette?"
Looking nervous, he hesitantly offered, "Ms. Jenning is in a meeting for a partnership. Why don't you take a seat while you wait for her?"
I tried my best to suppress my irritation and sat down in the lounge room. Oliver served me a cup of office. He then prodded carefully, "Why did you leave early that day? Ms. Jenning searched high and low for you."
Raising a brow, I asked in confusion, "What for?"
I thought that Yvette had spammed my phone with calls after I had left with Lila and given her the cold shoulder. But from the sounds of it, she had seemed intent on finding me for a different reason.
