Chapter 165: The Traitor
Elsewhere, inside an abandoned factory, Olivia sat by a small stove. Beside the stove were roasted rice cakes and marshmallows, their sweet aroma and the warm glow of the fire illuminating the dark, cold corner.
Several men, bald and rough-looking, wore pink barbecue gloves, patiently turning the marshmallows:
"Miss, how long do we have to stay here? Your father gave me a lot of work, and if I don't leave soon, the delivery of those goods will be delayed."
"No rush... Let's wait another hour, then you can take me back and throw me out of the car. That way, I'll have a reason to leave." Olivia sighed as she poured syrup over the roasted rice cakes:
"If I had known how complicated things were between them, I wouldn't have agreed to go with Mrs. Linda."
One of the men chuckled heartily:
"Heh heh, weren't you fond of that Damon kid?"
"He’s handsome and calls me cute, so of course, I was smitten. I was young then!" Olivia muttered nonchalantly:
