Chapter 91
Josh shook his head and said, "Nah, forget about school. I just want to know if the city council is going to reward me with a plaque."
Everyone was stunned by his request.
As a matter of fact, Josh's request wasn't unreasonable at all. In ancient times, knights who performed exceptionally well would receive gifts from the monarch as a token of appreciation, and sometimes, even statues were made in their honor. So, Josh's request for a plaque was quite reasonable.
However, Josh's results had been kept confidential. Even the city council had only just learned about them.
"This was unexpected. I gather the city council wasn't prepared for this. What do you have in mind?" Egbert asked.
"To be honest, the villagers have always looked down on our family. My parents have been belittled for as long as they've lived. All I ask is to bring some honor to them," Josh responded truthfully.
His modest request won everyone's approval, as he wasn't seeking honor for himself but for his parents.
