Oliver stubbornly pushed Josh aside and said to Warren, "I haven't accomplished much in my life, but my son has promised that if he can take the college entrance exam, he will make our family proud. I don't know how to ask for favors or plead properly, so I'm begging you. Please, have mercy and let us in."
Although Warren had a duty to uphold, he wasn't completely heartless. After all, it was said that a man's pride was his most valuable possession, and seeing Oliver kneel left Warren feeling a bit flustered.
He quickly reached out to help Oliver up. "Hey, get up. You don't need to do that"
"If you don't let us in, I won't get up, even if I have to kneel here all day." Oliver was quite stubborn. Though usually mild-mannered, he could act recklessly when pushed to his limits.
