"Please wait here. I'll go drive the car." The young assistant left with his arms full of bags, heading for the underground parking lot.
Geoffrey, on the other hand, walked away from the mall with his hands clasped behind him.
Valentina stepped out of the Bright Hall, a large bag of herbal medicine in hand, ready to hail a taxi to a reserved hotel. To her surprise, a crowd was gathered at the entrance of the nearby mall.
She heard someone from the gathering shout, "The man is in trouble!"
"Who's elderly is this? Where are his children? How could they let a sick old man go out alone? Can someone call the ambulance, please?"
Valentina squeezed through the crowd for a closer look and saw an elderly man collapsed on the ground, his expression reflecting agony.
She pushed her way forward.
The old man was lying on the floor, limbs stiff, fingers curled like claws, twitching occasionally. His facial muscles were tightening as well, a sign of an impending stroke.
