Afraid of losing him
It was Henry holding her down. He was calling her name, begging her to wake up.
“What’s wrong?” he asked when she opened her eyes.
It took her a few moments to realise that she was no longer in the vision. Henry was not dead. He was here, with her. Alive.
Eleanor threw her arms around him and held onto him. Tears flew from her eyes unbidden. The pain and panic she had felt seeing him dead was still with her, and she could barely breathe.
“Eleanor, what’s wrong?” Henry asked, his voice overcome with worry.
“Don’t die,” she sobbed, crying harder. “Don’t die and leave me.”
“What are you talking about?” he asked, confusion mingling with the concern in his voice.
Eleanor released him and pulled back to look at him. “I saw your death,” she told him, reaching up to wipe away her tears. “The hybrids killed you. I could not do anything to save you. I could not…” she trailed off, her voice catching.
