CHAPTER NINETY-SIX "YOUR ALPHA IS WEAK!"
Daphne's POV
The Lycans began to herd us back to our land, their jeers and laughter echoing in my ears. I held my head high, refusing to let them see my fear. I wouldn’t give them the satisfaction.
As we walked, I felt a hand slip into mine. I looked up to see Enzo beside me, his face set with determination. “We’ll get through this,” he whispered. “Somehow.”
I nodded, drawing strength from his words. We had to survive. For our pack, for our future. But as I glanced back at Javion, I couldn’t shake the feeling of betrayal and disappointment that gnawed at my heart.
We were stronger together, but in that moment, I felt more alone than ever.
Tears blurred my vision as I stared at Javion, my heart aching with a pain far worse than the slaps I’d endured. The Lycan general’s laughter echoed around us, a cruel, mocking sound that cut deep.
