Daphne’s POV
I held Javion tightly, feeling his warmth and strength seep into me. Despite the chaos around us, his presence always grounded me. “We’ll get through this,” I whispered, more to myself than to him.
Suddenly, Luca came running towards us, his face pale and eyes wide with panic. “Javion! Daphne! There’s a problem!” he shouted, skidding to a stop in front of us.
My heart skipped a beat, and I felt a knot of fear tighten in my stomach. “What’s wrong?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
Luca took a deep breath, glancing around as if he expected something to jump out at him. “It’s Saxera. She’s back, and she’s not alone. She’s brought some kind of…creature with her. It’s causing chaos in the village.”
