CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-SEVEN WONDERFUL WOMAN
DAPHNE'S POV
As we pulled back, Javion’s gaze lingered on me, his eyes filled with affection. “You’re incredible,” he said, his voice filled with emotion. “You’ve been through so much, and yet you’re still here, still fighting. I admire that more than you know.”
I smiled, feeling a warm blush on my cheeks. “And you’ve been my rock through all of this. I couldn’t ask for a better partner.”
We spent the next hour in the garden, talking and laughing as we reminisced about our journey and shared our hopes for the future.
The stars above seemed to twinkle in agreement, and the gentle rustle of leaves added a soothing backdrop to our conversation.
At one point, Javion surprised me with a small picnic basket he had brought along. Inside were some of my favorite treats—a selection of fruits, pastries, and a bottle of sweet wine.
We enjoyed the simple pleasure of sharing the food, savoring each bite and each sip as we continued to talk and enjoy each other’s company.
