CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY-EIGHT LITTLE TASTE OF REVENGE
Daphne's POV
As Xander left, I let out a soft chuckle, relishing in the discomfort Amelia was clearly feeling. But the satisfaction wasn’t enough; I wanted more. I turned to Xander with a smirk that would have made a cat proud.
“Actually, Xander,” I called out, “I’m not quite satisfied with Amelia’s apology.”
Xander, who was halfway out the door, turned back to me with a raised eyebrow. “What do you mean by that?”
I stood up, feeling a rush of vindictive pleasure. “Her apology was… lacking. I want her to kneel and apologize properly. Only then will I feel it’s genuine.”
Amelia’s face turned red with anger. “Are you kidding me? I’m not kneeling down for anyone!”
I could barely contain my glee as I watched Amelia’s fury boil over. Xander’s expression shifted from curiosity to irritation. “Amelia, you heard her. Kneel and apologize.”
Amelia’s jaw dropped. “No! I refuse to do that. This is absurd.”
Xander’s eyes narrowed, his patience wearing thin. “I’m giving you an order. Kneel.”
