We said nothing to each other, and I knew he rested his back on the door just like I did. I still did not know why I felt I couldn't all through the night, but I knew that something changed in me the moment I saw Angela and Thomas at the hospital. It was like a rush of energy that suddenly grabbed my chest. For all the most part, they had a connection from the past that might need to sprout out again.

It still doesn't make sense that I did. Whatever happened, I needed not to let it affect whatever I had built with Evans. I left the ground as I turned, facing the door, and gently opened it to find Evans looking back at me. I dove into his arms as he wrapped them around me. Still as warm as they had been earlier.
“Hey, it's okay. You are with me now; whatever it is, we will figure it out together.”
“You stayed behind the door,” I said, still buried in his arms.
“I couldn't go to bed knowing that you were in there, probably in your worst mood. I promise
