Chapter Ten: The New Love Interest II

Besides work, I have come to agree that it was all Evans on my mind. I tossed and turned on the bed waiting for the morning to come so I might have a chance to call him even if there were still a lot of questions left unanswered. I wanted to apologize for my rigidity at the hospital. Maybe I was still a bit shocked to see the man I had cheated on my husband with although it never felt that way. Whenever I tried to think of something else he always somehow managed to get in my head again. The incident was on repeat in my mind how I had been like a teenager who was about to make out for the first time with a love interest. I loved that he had kissed me, and run his hands around my waist when we danced. I trailed my hand on my body as I thought about the moment up until I touched the ring. I wonder why it still had it on. The moment of a disturbing past with Thomas resurfaced. I lay still facing the window and watched the wind nudge the curtain and slowly my eyelid felt close to sleep.
