Naomi, on the other hand, paused when she did not hear Scott following her. She turned to glance at him, frowning. What she saw when she turned around, however, only made her frown even more. Something about Scott's expression felt off. Naomi could not put her finger on what exactly was wrong, but she knew that something was up. Her gaze drifted to his cut lip before meeting his eye. She approached him, looking worried. "What's wrong? Does it hurt very bad?" Her tone was soft, and her face was etched with deepest concern. Her first instinct was to reach out and examine Scott's cut lip herself, but she refrained from doing so, out of fear of hurting him. There was nothing else she could do except watch him quietly, awaiting his response. Scott, on the other hand, watched as she slowly approached him, as though approaching an injured animal. He knew that even if he did not reach out to her asking for assistance, she would still pause to check on him. Such was her concern toward him.
