“Well, I gathered that,” he said. “I’m not deaf and blind to the gossip mill. I know she had a kid and I can count.”
“Yes, well, that kid happens to be your daughter.”
He shook his head. “I don’t think so,” he said, the idea seeming far too ridiculous to even contemplate. “Are you her lawyer? Are you trying to get me to pay some sort of alimony?”
“No, Mr. Benson, I’m not an attorney. I’m your daughter’s nanny.” She lifted her hand and rubbed the bridge of her nose. “Dammit Heather, you had one goddamned job.” She muttered under her breath. She took a deep breath and he was distracted once again by her breasts as they heaved. “Look, Mr. Benson,” she said, oblivious to his ogling, “Heather was supposed to send you all the documents. Abby is your daughter. Heather has the DNA tests to prove it. When Adam found out, he left her and then she left and told me to bring Abby to you—” She continued to speak but he tuned her out, his focus once again dropping to what was hidden beneath her damp
