The next morning, Alice woke up at nearly 9:00. She felt her entire body ache as if all her bones had crumbled. As she picked up her phone and looked at the time before setting it up, she exclaimed, “Shit!” The hospital has recently become even busier than usual. So, as chief of surgery, Alice just chaired a meeting for all the doctors yesterday. She sternly told everyone they could not be late or leave work early at the meeting. However, she had not expected to be the first to break her rules. After quickly washing and dressing, Alice dashed downstairs. Later she saw Zayden sitting leisurely at the table in the dining room, eating breakfast. “Did you turn off my alarm clock again, Zayden? I told you, if you turn off my alarm clock again, I won’t sleep in the same ring with you.” Alice yelled angrily towards the dining room. “I didn’t turn it off,” Zayden said calmly as he buttered the bread. “Who else could it be? Max is not home. And Eliana is staying at Flora’s house. We are the onl
