Samuel nodded without hesitation.
“Go ahead if you have something to do. But…” Yvonne’s voice suddenly trailed off.
“But what?” Samuel asked, curious.
“Nothing.” Yvonne quickly returned to her room. She wanted to tell him to not go around seeing other women, but those words made her feel strange.
The two were husband and wife, but they did not live like husband and wife. Yvonne was still not used to delving into Samuel’s extremely personal affairs.
She sat on the bed and lifted the pillow. There was a pair of scissors hidden beneath it. She had placed it there three years ago.
