Alex's father, Michael, had a hint of coldness in his eyes, a subtle expression that didn't go unnoticed by Alex.
Alex furrowed his brows, a touch of confusion marring his features. He couldn't quite grasp the meaning behind his father's demeanor.

Turning her attention to Lisa, she smiled warmly. “And who is this beautiful girl?” she asked, her eyes twinkling with curiosity.
Lisa, feeling a bit shy under the scrutiny, returned the smile. “I'm Lisa Thompson.” she introduced herself gently.
