William gave Linda a deep look before picking up the bag beside him.
Watching Linda in silence, Jay hesitated to speak up.
Linda finished replying to her messages and looked up at him. "Mr. Howell, do you have something to say to me?"
It was more of a statement than a question.
Jay nodded. "Ms. Felix, you know what I want to say."
He was William's assistant. Of course he was going to side with William.
"I know," Linda replied. She glanced at her fingernails, which had grown quite long now. It seemed she needed to find time to get them done soon.
"Mr. Wilson made mistakes back then, but he wasn't the real culprit. Can't you give him another chance?"
Linda flashed Jay a slight smile.
William, who had just finished changing and was about to leave, paused at the door upon hearing Jay's question.
He was curious whether Linda would respond differently to someone else asking the same question compared to when she faced the media.
