Chapter 31
Chuck laughed then asked, "Then tell me. Why are you staring at me?"
"Aren't you staring at me, too? How else will you know that I've been staring?"
Chuck couldn't refute it.
It didn't take long before he said, "Yohan, the person who sent you those text messages must've been your wife. Your emotions are out of control."
"That's ridiculous. How can a woman possibly have that effect on me?" said Yohan. He glared at Chuck and warned, "If you're going to keep talking about this, get out. I will not treat you to a meal anymore."
"Alright, alright, I'll drop it. You'll talk to me about it when you're ready," replied Chuck.
He knew his friend well. If Yohan didn't want to share anything, then what was said wouldn't matter. The result would remain.
For the time being, Chuck gave up gossiping. He knew that, given his close friendship with Yohan, he would eventually learn who Yohan's wife was anyway.
"I'll call Mandy and ask her if she's free to eat together."
