There was less traffic at night. Clara drove quickly and arrived at the Taylors' home in less than two hours.
The Taylors also lived in a village.
As their car entered in the middle of the night, the villagers' dogs started barking.
The Taylors' neighbors both owned dogs. As Clara's car came to a stop, the dogs barked fiercely as there was a ghost in their car.
"This is my home," Jessie said softly.
Clara turned to Jessie and realized Jessie's face was covered in tears.
Clara memorized the location. She keyed in the address that Jessie mentioned into the GPS. With that, she could access its history to take the same route again tomorrow.
"You're not going to have a look?" Clara asked.
Clara noticed that Jessie's home had no dogs or protective charms.
Jessie choked up, "It pains me to see my parents. I've only passed on for nine months, but it's like they've aged 20 years. Even their hair has turned white."
