"Mr. Woodley, you're flattering me." Loid smiled faintly while pouring himself a cup of tea.
Joseph shot Loid a knowing look. He then began, "Loid, I heard a miracle-working doctor cured your illness. I didn't believe it at first, but looking at you now, I'm inclined to trust the rumors. I wonder if you could introduce me to this doctor?"
"Oh, it was sheer luck I ran into her. She vanished after I was cured. I don't know where she is," Loid replied courteously.
"Well, I won't press you if you refuse to tell me about it," said Joseph, who took another sip of tea before looking up. "Loid, you must be here for other matters than a tea-drinking session. Why don't you get to the point?"
Smiling, Loid lit a cigarette while tapping the fingers of his free hand on the table. He slowly began, "I wonder if you've read the online posts regarding me on Ember Creek's forum?"
