Willow slid down into the claw foot bathtub in my bathroom and let the water rise to her nose. We’d walked back to the pack house in silence after she confessed her thoughts about the rogue.
I stood against the bathroom wall, arms folded over my chest watching her struggle with the turmoil alone. I had no idea how to help her.
They’d clearly warned us to stay away.
Going after them, whether to be for answers for Willow or revenge, would end in chaos. Willow’s blue gaze shifted toward mine after several long minutes. “Do you think I’m crazy?”
I chuckled. “Oh, I think you’re crazy but not for this.”
She narrowed her eyes at me. “I’m serious. Is it crazy to think I’m related to my mother’s killer? Is this some kind of mind trick my suppressed memories have played on me?"
