Chapter Twenty-Four - Chase

The next morning I woke to the sun peeking through my curtains. It hit me like a blast of light, and I sat up quickly. I hadn’t slept but for a couple of hours and it certainly felt like it. I wasn’t a kid anymore. My body ached as I rolled my neck and searched the covers for Willow. She shifted beside, turning so that the sheets hardly covered her bare body. The smell of our union, our mating well into the night lingered in the room. Her mark was bright in the sunlight. A crescent moon with sparkling stars and two wolves stood under it. It looked like something an artist drew on a canvas, but I knew it was a blessing from above. My wolf wanted another round, but I knew Willow would need a break, at least for a while until she woke and realized her heat wasn’t completely satisfied.
