Chapter 56

The following day, Olivia didn’t see Alexander waiting for her outside her office and she finally felt some worry about their relationship. It was just that; she was still upset about how he had accused her of selling his mother’s ring. By the time she got home, she was in a pouty mood. She opened the door to the house and the first thing she noticed was the smell of food. She frowned in confusion and went into the apartment. She found Alexander in the kitchen making dinner with a bunch of notes on one side that he seemed to be referring to. He didn’t look like he had even noticed that she had already returned. Olivia watched him as he looked at the notes seriously and smiled. “It’s about to burn,” Olivia said and pointed at the steak on the stovetop. Alexander was so surprised that he couldn’t react for a while. “You’re back?” he said to her as he turned down the heat. “Mmh, I didn’t know you could cook,” Olivia said as she curiously looked at what he had prepared. “I also didn’t know
