Chapter 943
Esther looked at the fruit knife, its blade gleaming with a chilling light under the lamp's glow. She snatched it, weighed its heft, and her eyes held a glint of bloodthirsty light.
She wasn't sure why Bradley was convinced she wouldn't act on it! But she was very clear—she despised Bradley deeply.
"May I borrow paper and a pen?" Esther knew that even if Bradley wrote a disclaimer, it wouldn't hold any legal effect. Still, she handed the paper and pen the staff had given her to Bradley.
"Write a disclaimer," she instructed.
Bradley looked at the paper and pen Esther handed over, pain filling his gaze as he looked at her. "Are you sure?"
"Did you think I was just joking with you?" Esther smirked provocatively and asked, "Or maybe you're afraid of death now?"
Esther's provocation effectively stirred Bradley's emotions. He was taking a risk, wagering on whether Esther harbored any feelings for him. He pondered if she wouldn't end his life.
In the end, Bradley wrote a disclaimer.
