With a serious look, Bradley carried a sobbing Felix to his room and gently laid him on the bed. Felix's tear-streaked face still sparkled, giving him a pitiable yet lovable appearance.
"Felix."
Felix's small shoulders slumped, and he choked out grievously. "Daddy, the pretty woman saved me, and..."
Bradley sat beside him, took out a tissue, and gently wiped away the tears on Felix's face. "Felix, she has nothing to do with you."
Felix recalled Liliane's intense gaze and how his father avoided kissing Esther. He thought this might mean his father actually preferred Liliane, the mean, fake mother.
"It has to do with me." Felix huffed. "Tinkerbell died, and the pretty woman is sad."
Bradley's heart trembled as he suddenly heard Felix mention Tinkerbell. He tried to console him in a gentle voice, "Felix, you shouldn't go see her anymore."
"No! I want to go!" Felix stubbornly insisted. "Daddy, I want to take care of the pretty woman for Tinkerbell."
