Chapter 30 A Fragile Alliance Shattered.
The Ashwood pack’s headquarters was abuzz with activity. Wolves from both Ashwood and Westville moved through the space, organizing supplies, planning strategies, and training together. For a brief moment, it seemed like unity between the two rival packs was possible. But underlying tensions were never far from the surface.
Noah and I stood on a small hill overlooking the camp. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the scene. I could see the worry etched on Noah's face, lines deepening around his eyes.
"Noah," I said gently, "what’s on your mind?"
He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "This alliance... it’s fragile, Jessica. There’s a lot of distrust and old wounds. And now, with the hunters so close, I’m not sure if this is the right approach."
I frowned. "You think we should dissolve the alliance?"
