Chapter 27 Truths and Torture.
Noah’s ordeal continued in the dim, oppressive confines of the hunters’ underground hideout. The chains that bound him seemed to grow heavier with each passing moment, cutting into his flesh and exacerbating his agony. The silver arrow embedded in his shoulder was a constant, searing reminder of his precarious situation. Despite the pain, Noah’s resolve remained unbroken.
The door to his cell creaked open, and Elias, one of the hunters’ leaders, entered. His presence was commanding, and his demeanor coldly professional. He carried a briefcase filled with various tools and instruments designed for inflicting pain. Noah’s eyes flickered with defiance as Elias approached.
“Still holding strong, I see,” Elias remarked, his voice betraying a hint of satisfaction. “You’re a stubborn one, Noah. But we have ways of convincing you to cooperate.”
Noah’s gaze met Elias’s with unwavering defiance. “You can’t break me. You think you can make me betray my pack? I’ll never give you what you want.”
