Chapter 53: So Embarrassed

"Ugh, it hurts." Lainey sat up, clutching her throbbing head from her hangover. She felt a dull pain that made her whole head uncomfortable. "Mrs. Sloan is awake." Juliet came in with the sobering tea remedy, a smile on her face. "Where is Winfred?" Not seeing Winfred in the room, Lainey asked with a frown. Afraid of Winfred leaving without a word like last time, Lainey always worried that he would go on a business trip again and leave her at home. "Mr. Sloan went to work and instructed me to prepare the sobering tea for you. Drink it quickly." After drinking the sobering tea Juliet brought for her, Lainey felt herself coming back to life half an hour later. She completely sobered up.
