389 AIDEN'S TRAUMA
Mariah gently cleans Aiden's injuries and tends to his needs; she finds herself lost in her thoughts, her hands moving around his body with care like he was her own. Her heart was filled with so much compassion towards him;
"Please, dear Lord, let him wake up," she whispers, her voice barely audible in the quiet room. "He's so young, too young to be lying here like this. I can't bear the thought of him slipping away. His parents should be worried; they are sick right now."
She paused as she fixed her gaze on Aiden's face, hoping for any sign of consciousness. "He's been through so much, poor soul. I can't imagine what he's been through or seen. But he's here now, under my care, and I'm going to do all in my power to see him well, God's willing."
A sighed and rolled her lips around as she continued to tend to him. Her hands moved softly and gently all over him. "I don't know his name, but it doesn't matter now. All that matters is that he wakes up and can tell us who he is and where
