380: SEEKING THE TRUTH
"The truth," Jocelyn cries out. "That's all I want—the truth about what happened to my baby. I beg of you."
Jocelyn folds her hands together while glaring passionately with dislike at the woman who may be responsible for her missing child.
"I'm sorry you hurt yourself. I promise I won't call the police. All I want to know is what happened," Jocelyn said with tears-filled eyes. "Please."
After Linda had hurt herself while trying to escape, Jocelyn saw her injury after helping her into the living room. Linda's apartment was small and stuffy. The closed windows cast a shadow over the space. A grandfather's clock kept ticking at the corner, but there wasn't anything remarkable about the place.
Linda sits on the couch while Jocelyn occupies the armchair before her. There will be no further attempt at escape by Linda.
