CHAPTER 16 Camilla
As the young girl wandered through the large, beautiful garden, the memories of her childhood flooded back, transporting her to a time when the world was simpler and her heart was light.
She remembered the days when she would play here with her father, the two of them laughing and running through the trees. She was the only child, with no brothers or sisters to play with, but she never felt lonely with her father by her side.
One particular memory stood out to her, a memory of a day much like this one, when the sun was shining and the flowers were in full bloom. She could almost hear her younger self's laughter echoing through the garden as she played with her father.
And then, as if on cue, the memory came to life before her eyes...
A much younger Camilla, with curly brown hair and bright eyes, ran through the garden, her laughter filling the air. Her father, a tall man with kind eyes and a gentle smile, followed close behind, pretending to chase after her.
