[Margaret’s POV]
An unfamiliar yet compelling urge surged within me. I wanted to tell him about Armstrong. More than that, I felt an overwhelming need to share my past with him. For the longest time, I believed our relationship hadn't yet reached the level where such confessions were necessary. But now, I thought differently.
Donald was my mate. He had a right to know everything about me—the things I loved and hated, my past struggles, my deepest fears. He deserved my honesty because my future was no longer just mine; it was ours.
I hesitated before speaking, feeling my pulse quicken. "Actually, there's something else I want to tell you."
I turned to look at Donald, but as soon as my gaze met his, my courage faltered. The words that had been forming in my mind dissolved into uncertainty. How could I begin to tell him? Would he understand? Would he be upset?
