Chapter 86
(Camilla’s POV)
[5 Years Later]
This is just one of those days where I feel like time is passing so slow yet so fast.
I have been working since six in the morning, and I have never felt so tired. I’m literally just sitting at my desk, signing papers. But I feel so bloody exhausted. It must be due to the fact that I’m taking time to read all these agreements.
My hand already aches from signing these endless papers. My neck is throbbing. It's like a constant reminder of the long hours I’ve spent hunched over my desk.
I might as well resemble the Fibonacci sequence with my freaking back.
I glance at the clock, wishing it would move faster. I should probably change the batteries of my wall clock. It seemed to be moving slower than usual, or is it just me?
Just a few more signatures, Camilla. Just a few more.
Suddenly, I heard the door open, and a young woman entered inside. “Mrs. Villafuerte,” my secretary announces, “You have visitors.”
My ears perked from what she said.
